I thought i’d encourage you all to write/submit for the standard because i get the impression that people feel doing the standard is a dauntingly large task…

“What would i put in it?” “How long does an issue take to put together?” “I’ve never done something like this before!”

If these have entered your mind then you’re over-thinking it! If you can cut and paste, you’re already overqualified for the actual “putting it all together” aspect. As for content, it’s really just a bit of this and a bit of that…

Now, that’s not to say that you don’t have to put any thought or effort into it; just whip it off and you’re done. That’s not the idea. Simply keep you eyes open for interesting quotes, articles, pictures, stories, verses, poems, recipes, ANYTHING…again: ANYTHING that you think the next community would enjoy.

This is a WONDERFUL way to get involved. And if you want to help out, you’ll meet with Lesley or myself (david) to walk you through it and show you previous issues to get you started.

I’ve had an absolute BLAST doing it, i’d hate to hoard the experience.

Lastly, the standard is supposed to be an expression of the church…which is hard to do when people don’t submit stuff! :o) Ask me for submission details. (david.raponi@gmail.com)

    -David.
